To no one’s surprise, the Federal Marriage Amendment failed in the Senate last month, and then in the House this month. Because of all the liberals in Congress, a two-thirds majority in a favor of it was never possible and the amendment was doomed from outset.

However, for those of us who favor the concept of preserving marriage as a union between a man and a woman, all is not lost. I believe there is an alternative to the amendment that just failed. This alternative, if passed, would accomplish pretty much the same thing as the original, since most states already have laws or constitutional amendments on the books which ban same-sex marriage. However, it would be without any infringement on states’ rights and without the prohibition of gay marriage at a Constitutional level. In addition, this amendment would probably be more palatable to a broader range of legislators, and therefore have a better chance of passing.

I call it the “State Same-Sex Marriage Autonomy Amendment” and here is the text of what I am suggesting:

“No federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court, shall have the authority to overrule, reverse, invalidate, or otherwise alter any state law or constitutional provision regarding same-sex marriage. Furthermore, no state shall be compelled to recognize the laws or constitutional provisions of another state regarding same-sex marriage.”

So, in a nutshell, states would be free to make their own rules about gay marriage and wouldn’t have to recognize those that might be permitted or performed in other states.

If I hear Congress or the President say they are protecting the American citizens again I will scream!!! On June 29th of 2006 I was watching C-SPAN when I heard John Boehner, (R) majority leader from Ohio say in so many words that the Constitution of the United States does not matter as long as Congress, Executive Branch and the Supreme Court protects the “American Citizens.” (2nd Samuel Chapter 1 v 27)

What is the point of protecting the American citizens if we are being under paid and over worked? The focus is the minimum wage issue. Congress continues to deny raising it on behalf of the American citizens’ request. Congress says things like, “if we raise the minimum wage from $5.15 to whatever it will hurt the American business world.” No! It will not, instead you will find more American citizens applying for jobs. It is not that we, Americans, will not do certain jobs; it is that we will not be educated and work for low wages. However, when it comes to Congress giving themselves a pay raise it is law before the ink is dry on the paperthere is no debate. Congress thought process, concerning the minimum wage increase forces me understand the true meaning of “a mind is a terrible thing to waste.” If they know how to sneak their pay raises in to meet their economic need, then why don’t they just sneak in the minimum wage increases? I hear the Lord saying to Congress the same thing He said to the sons of Jacob; “And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts. For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” (Malachi 3 v 5-6)

Congress wants to eliminate the middle class workers. It appears to be the case from my perspective; remember Congress, actions speak louder than words. You see if the middle class increases then the poor class would decrease right? But if the middle class decreases then the poor class would increase right? Who is not being touched by all this legislation? Oh!! It is the contributors of Congress. These same elected public servants campaign for re-election raising all kinds of money and giving favors to these same contributors. It appears that Congress is not interested in representing the American citizens’ request, but they are good at raising money to keep their jobs as elected public servants. American citizens need to understand the job of our representatives, according to their actions, not their words. Their jobs has not been to make our nation better and more responsive to the American citizens. However, their job has been to make sure all 535 elected public servants in Congress live like kings and queens on our taxes. Their job, according to their actions, has been to keep America in debt economically to our enemies. According to the media, China is financing the Iraqi war. God help America when we go to war with China. And we will!!!

What is the point of protecting us, the American citizens, if we are not being heard when we communicate our request to our representatives? I have communicated to my representative Senator Larry Craig (R) of my concerns regarding the 20-20-20 Rule that Congress passed. His response was I will see what I can do in so many words.What kind of response is that when all I keep hearing Congress saying “We know what the American citizens want.” I want to be heard and this rule changed to protect all divorced military spouses from loosing their benefits after being married over 20 years to a retired military person. This rule takes away benefits from a divorced military ex-spouse, who was married for over 20 or 40 years; but was not married at least 20 years of the retired members’ active duty. This rule will cause the ex-spouses to loose all but one benefit. To check it out for yourself; go to http://www.dod.mil/prhome click on reports and documents, then click on formal spouses’ protection and finally, click on final report. After reading this report you tell me if the American troops and their families are being supported as patriots. This 20-20-20 Rule is what I call legislators using the rules of the game with no substance. Every time I look around Congress is passing legislation that take away my Constitutional freedoms, protection, and now my military medical benefits. (Zechariah 7v 10)

What is the point of our patriots fighting in wars for democracy and freedom in other countries? Upon our patriots return to America they are not supported by legislation that will take care of them and their families. To our representatives and American citizens who say they support our troops, who are dying and getting injured in the name of patriotism. I have a couple of things to ask: When you say you support the troops what exactly do you mean? Who do you think the homeless people are on the streets of America? Who are the people in the soup kitchens in America feeding? Who are being mistreated in the veterans’ hospitals all over America? Who are loosing their medical benefits? It is our patriots/troops, who came home after the Vietnam War, the Desert Storm Iraqi Gulf war, and now the war on Terror. So! When you all say you support our patriotic Americans, who are fighting for Americas’ freedoms and for the political policies our elected public servants legislated; I would appreciate if you all would back up your words with actions. How about picking up a gun and putting on a uniform so you can truly support our American patriots? How about our elected public servants in Congress truly writing some legislation that will truly take care of our patriots when they return home to America? I believe our Congress, our representatives must physically and mentally fight on the floor of Congress, so we the people, do not have too. I also say to the American citizens the following “We cannot get any new elected public servants until we stop voting for the bad elected public servants.” (Matt 15 v 14)

Therefore, to all voting age American citizens; vote for a public servant, who will not be beggars to represent our nation. So far Osama Bin Laden is still on the loose and mothers, wives, children, husbands and fathers, sons and daughters are still crying. Our veterans are still living on the streets in America sick and homeless. Our nation can only be governed by “We The People” protecting our Constitutional Contract with the help of our elected public servants; not by legislators who violate their oath of office once they are elected by “We The People.” It is time to make a change American Citizens.

After listening to the Executive Branch -VS- Media all month I now realize that our democracy is not rocket science. The issue is who knew what and when did they know it concerning the Iraqi war, right? Well, let’s start with the Executive Branch of our government and the agencies that report to them like the CIA, FBI, and IRS. President George W. Bush stated that he was a “War President” nationwide.

The CIA and the FBI are responsible for the information to justify the United States having a war for the “War President.” The day President George W. Bush stated, nationwide “Mission Accomplished” he was not talking to the American Troops who was fighting in Iraqi, he was talking to the CIA and the FBI. The Executive Branch also stated that other nation’s intelligence had the same false information as America CIA and FBI. So do not blame the executive branch for getting it wrong and killing over 2000 of our sons and daughters. However, George W. Bush was seen worldwide confirming false intelligent when he gave congratulatory medals to the overseers of the FBI and CIA. Does the truth matter? Readers, you make the call based on keeping yourselves informed.

Now let me talk about the media again. They appear to be stuck on stupid. This month all they wanted to do is tell the American citizens what they should have told us in 2002. Each and every one of them knew then what they are reporting now. However, they are just like brawlers who want to just keep confusion going. They are not interested in keeping this country safe from within or from without. They are more interested in with-holding important information from the Americans citizens, which would keep the United States of America free.

The media could destroy a person’s reputation along with our nation. I am not impressed and neither are the American citizens. All of a sudden the media has diarrhea of the mouth when it comes to the Iraqi war. Too many of our American and Iraqi children have died because the media kept silent during the presidential campaign. A military spokesperson stated to the media, “We are now fighting foreign terrorist.” Aren’t our American Troops foreigners in a foreign land or does America own Iraq? Does the truth matter? Now, let’s talk about the IRS who happens to be in the pocket of the Executive Branch. Recently, I heard on mainstream media that the IRS is going after a pastor for preaching against the Executive Branch and the war in Iraqi. Well this is not the first time neither will it be the last time. Remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? They went after him also. The IRS is the Saddam Hussein of American government agencies; unless you take them out of power the American citizens, pastors and representatives will forever be terrorized by this government agency.

How is it possible for American democracy to create an agency with unlimited power and control over its citizens? Well I will tell you how, just like our representatives created new districts to keep them in office, Congress has now created the Homeland Security Act and the Patriot Act by putting fear in our citizens. These two laws will now give law enforcement agencies unlimited power and control to all of our personal information just by stating to a judge that a law-abiding citizen “maybe connected with a terrorist suspect.” This statement alone will allow a judge to authorize personal information on every American citizen including; government representatives; to be given to the department of law enforcement.

Now you might say, like my state representative stated to me, “If you are law-abiding you have nothing to worry about.” Well if you believe that talk to all the law-abiding Asians who were placed in an interment camp in America. Tell that to the African Americans who were lynched by some law enforcement agents with sheets over their heads. The FBI has the proof of this if you care to research my statements. Tell this to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks who went to jail for protesting unjust laws. Remember America our FBI, CIA and the IRS accused and treated the Black Panthers of being insurgents in America, but not the KKK. I could go on but I won’t because I believe my readers get the point. Law-Abiding means safety and protection to the European Americans in the United States. To the rest of the American citizens it is only a word. Does the truth matter? Finally, I say all of the United States watchmen (government agencies) are in Gods out-house, because they all knew what was going on while it was going on, and have failed to speak truth and shine light on evil powers and evil doers. Therefore, our nation is being destroyed from within not from without; remember the Roman Empire? This is just SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! American terrorist have been in America since the beginning of our nation. Some terrorist we like and some we do not. Wake up American citizens and refocus our nation representatives to do the right thing for our children sake please. We must use our write in vote now, because the people who are running for office now are the rich and powerful and the working poor do not have the economics to pay for advertisement.

So let’s start picking people in our communities to run in the up coming county, state, and federal elections. Once we use our write in vote for people we know personally, they must over turn laws that make our children victims to old policies and laws; laws that keep them medicated, falsely labeled and warehoused in the criminal justice system. We must start now to teach and show our children that they are survivors of our mistakes so they will be the future men and women leaders of our nation that the whole world will respect again. What do we have left to lose my generation other than our CHILDREN? Wouldn’t it be funny to find out later that the terrorist the American military is fighting, to protect American citizens from; is our Government foreign and domestic policies? Does the Truth Matter? In this case the answer is yes!
